So it took a bit longer than I wanted, but I finally got the third row complete. I'm really starting to like how it looks, but then again I'm a little partial.

This weekend I completed the final super block, to finish off the second row (see below picture). I'm a fan of the way it is turning out so far! Only five more rows to go. I was hoping the process would speed up once I got more practice, but I seem to have hit a one hour per block wall. Of course that might have more to do with the glass of wine or two, that I tend to consume while sewing, than any real ability on my part (at least I hope so).

This weekend, in a marathon of sewing Saturday evening (5 hours, give or take) I completed the last two "super blocks" to finish the first two rows of the quilt. After multiple mistakes, and rip outs, I have discovered that five hours of sewing is probably four too many for my level of concentration. But I pushed through, and here are the results:
